Windows decorated for the Christmas season will be unveiled beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 27. Workers began covering the downtown windows with white paper and placing silhouettes in upper story windows last week as work progresses toward their unveiling.
Businesses participating in the “Windows on the Holiday” are as follows, Businesses with animated windows include: The City of Mount Vernon, Coe and Company, Farm Bureau, Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, Franklin County Genealogical Society, Franklin County Lawn and Feed, Franklin County Library, Friends, Gandy’s Automotive, Hair Essentials, Interior Passions, M. L. Edwards Emporium, Mount Vernon Optic-Herald, Propane Company, Prosperity Bank, Saucy Ladies, The Frame Up, The Sweete Shoppe, Tom Ramsay Real Estate, and The Yellow Rose Flowers and Gifts.
Businesses that have silhouettes are the First National Bank, the Franklin County Library, M. L. Edwards, and Tom Ramsay Real Estate.
The displays will remain in place through Saturday, Jan. 2.
