The deadline to purchase an Easter Ham from the Mount Vernon Volunteer Fire Department for this year is Tuesday, March 31.
Members of the local department are taking orders for “Easter Hams” to be picked up at the city’s fire station Saturday, April 11. The cost of the ham is $30 each or two or more for $25 each. After March 31, all hams are $35 each. The last day to purchase a ham is Monday, April 6. See the March 19 edition of the Optic-Herald for all the details.
