“Prayer... America’s Hope,” is the theme for this year’s National Day of Prayer. The theme is based on Psalm 33:22 and the observance of the event is schedule for today, Thursday, May 7.
A luncheon will be at the Family Life Center at the First United Methodist Church of Mount Vernon. A grilled chicken salad with a cookie for dessert will be served and the luncheon should finish promptly at 1 p.m. A few tickets are still available.
