Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Mitchell Canaday, who was recently promoted to Specialist in the U. S. Army, has been selected by Colonel Voleski as “Hero of the Day” for outstanding service in his specialty. He is an Intelligence Analyst and is currently stationed in Mosul, Iraq. He was presented with a plaque, commemorative coin, and certificate in a private ceremony on May 28 by his commanding officers for his achievements.See the June 4 edition of the Optic-Herald for more details.
