The annual Community Thanksgiving Church Service in Franklin County is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22 at the First United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon. This year’s message will be given by Bro. Pepper Puryear from the First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon. Music for the event will be provided by a community choir. Anyone in the community who wishes to take part in the event should arrive at the church at 6 p.m. for rehearsal. Everyone in the community is encouraged to attend the event to celebrate Thanksgiving.
