A chili cook off will be conducted on Saturday, Dec. 5 in the fountain parking lot at the corners of Kaufman and Scott streets. “We need lots of chili eaters to consume the gallons of chili that will be prepared during the competition,” organizer Garry Romines said. Bowls of chili will be available for sale to the public at a cost of $5 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under beginning at 4 p.m. Crackers, cornbread, and beverages will also be supplied.
