The third annual Heritage Scholarship Banquet is set for 6 p.m. Friday, June 4 in the Mount Vernon Masonic Lodge Hall. Tickets are available in advance for $10 per person.
Barry Antoine Minter, former National Football League Linebacker for the Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns, will be the featured speaker for the banquet. Mr. Brown, a native of Mount Pleasant, is currently athletic director and head football coach for Brazos ISD, west of Houston.
