Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The fourth annual Franklin County Relay for Life collected $59,000 to aid in the fight against cancer, and to help those suffering with the disease. The traveling trophy for the best decorated campsite went to the Mount Vernon Intermediate School team. The team’s campsite was fronted with large boxes covered in birthday wrapping and ribbon.
