Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Citizens of the community are invited to join members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church  for a special mass. The mass will be on the grounds of the Mount Vernon City Cemetery at 9 a.m. Monday, May 31. Fa. Ambrose Chinnappa will perform the mass. This mass is to honor all deceased veterans and especially commemorate those who fell in service to their country. Attendees are urged to bring their own lawn chairs to the service as provided seating is limited. Any questions should be directed to the church office at 903-537-2174.
