The 15th annual Jesse May Smoky-Eyed Barbecue Cook-off benefiting Cypress Basin Hospice is set for Saturday, June 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Livestock Pavilion of the Mount Pleasant Civic Center.
The event will include all you can eat barbecue and entertainment provided by the Outtahand Band, featuring classic county and western swing music. Admission to the event is $7 for adults and $3 for children. For more information, see the June 10 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
