Girls left flowers at the Shrine of Virgin Mary during the Festival of the Sacred Heart on Saturday June 12.
A shrine was erected to the Virgin Mary at the event and parishioners left carnations there in her honor.
A garage sale, two bounce houses, food booths, a cake walk, and the purchase of tickets for a chance to win prizes were all conducted during the event. Dance groups from the church and two bands provided entertainment for the crowd. The event grossed $3,900 to aid in building a rectory for the local Catholic church.
