The Franklin County Historical Association and Franklin County Library are joining together to present the Water Beetle Cherokee Programs at no cost to the public. Two different programs will be presented; one for children and a more expanded program for families Thursday, July 29. The children’s program is being presented as one of the Summer Enrichment programs. It will be at 2 p.m. at either the library or Century Room. A PowerPoint presentation of photos, along with native American music and stories will be a part of the more in depth program called the “Trail of Tears” to be presented at 7 p.m. at the Mount Vernon Music Hall, courtesy of the FCHA.
