A near sell out crowd is expected for the 42nd annual Miss Mount Vernon Scholarship Pageant.
The pageant is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21 in the Mount Vernon School Auditorium.
Admission is $10 per person. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door. These tickets will be made available on a first come first served basis.
“With the large number of pageant participants, we’ve had a large number of tickets sold,” Heather Bales, pageant coordinator and choreographer, explained.
Forty-seven contestants will be competing for six titles in this years pageant. This is the second year that all age groups of students, grades kindergarten through 12, are provided the opportunity to participate in the pageant.
