Cowboys and cowgirls planning to ride in the 2010 Labor Day weekend Championship Rodeo must sign-up between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30.
The local rodeo is sanctioned by both the United Professional Rodeo Association and the Cowboy Regional Rodeo Association. Contestants must either be members of one of the associations or ride as a “local.” Locals are those living within a 25 mile radius of Mount Vernon, but who are not members of one of the sanctioning associations. Contestants may call the secretary at 903-846-2421. Calls are accepted only during the assigned sign-up time and date.
