George Wims gets a quick lesson on the new microfilm reader from installer Johnny Wetzel at the Genealogical Research Room on Main St. The Franklin County Genealogical Society took out a loan to purchase the nearly $5,000 piece of equipment. The group is seeking donations to help defray the cost. The research room is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
