Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

A chili cook-off will be conducted on Saturday, Dec. 4 in the fountain parking lot at the corners of Kaufman and Scott streets. Bowls of chili will be available for sale to the public at a cost of $5 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under beginning at 4 p.m. Crackers, cornbread, and beverages will also be supplied.
