Organizers for the local Relay for Life event are searching for cancer survivors who live in Franklin County.
Cancer survivors will be honored during the event set to being at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 29.
“We are trying to personally invite every cancer survivor to attend, and we don’t want to leave anyone out,” Heather Logan said. The event will celebrate the lives of local residents who have survived cancer, while offering the hope of finding a cure. Some 200 walkers and committee members are hoping to raise $45,000 to benefit the American Cancer Society. For more information, see the April 14 edition of the Optic-Herald.
