The talent segment is being separated from the title competition in the Miss Mount Vernon Scholarship Pageant, announced Heather Bales, pageant coordinator. The talent will no longer count toward the division title.
“I hope this will encourage many of our talented young ladies to compete for the award,” said Mrs. Bales. “We hope too, that some of our older girls who were discouraged by the prospect of doing a talent will now enter the senior division.” For more details, see the June 9 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
