Republican women’s group presents history book to library

Sarah Hamrick and Linda Edmondson present  book to library represented by Sue Stevens and Julie Baxter.Sarah Hamrick, recording secretary, and Linda Edmondson,  corresponding secretary, for the Republican Women of Northeast Texas, presented a book to the staff of the Franklin County Library Friday, June 10. The book, entitled “Struggle for a Continent-the French and Indian Wars 1689-1763,” was written by Betsy Maestro and illustrated by her husband Guilio Maestro. This is the first in a three-book series for young readers to encourage them to see history as a continuum, connected events that together form a meaningful whole.
