Sarah Hamrick, recording secretary, and Linda Edmondson, corresponding secretary, for the Republican Women of Northeast Texas, presented a book to the staff of the Franklin County Library Friday, June 10.
The book, entitled “Struggle for a Continent-the French and Indian Wars 1689-1763,” was written by Betsy Maestro and illustrated by her husband Guilio Maestro. This is the first in a three-book series for young readers to encourage them to see history as a continuum, connected events that together form a meaningful whole.
