A sellout crowd is expected for the 43rd annual Miss Mount Vernon Scholarship Pageant. The pageant is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 in the Mount Vernon School Auditorium.
Admission is $10 per person. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door. These tickets will be made available on a first come first served basis.
“All the pageant participants have done a great job selling tickets,” Heather Bales, pageant coordinator and choreographer, explained.
Fifty-two contestants, from kindergarten through 12th grade, will be competing for six titles in this year’s pageant. For inforamtion about the 52 contestants, see the special section inside the Aug. 11 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
