Daliana Latortue and Audra Davis go face first into juicy watermelon. More than 50 people attended the Franklin County Library’s Watermelon Day on Wednesday, Aug. 3 on the square. Members of the library staff cut 10 melons for the event. They continued to serve ice cold melon in the library throughout the day. The watermelons were donated to the library by Jerry and Jennifer Cooper.
