The annual Cub Scout Rally to sign up new members is set at 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 13 at the Mount Vernon Elementary School Cafetorium. “Cub Scouting is fun, but it is fun with a purpose. Interwoven though all the fun is a program that really works,” Cubmaster Jennifer Holland said. The Cub Scout program is for boys age six through 11 years. They are grouped by ages, with first grade as Tiger Cubs, second grade as Wolf Cubs, third grade as Bear Cubs, fourth grade as Webelos I and fifth grade as Webelos II.See the September 8 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more information.
