The Compassionate Friends of Northeast Texas will have their October meeting Thursday, Oct. 6 from 7 to 8 p.m. at The Bogata First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 206 N. Main St. in Bogata. Anyone who has had a child die in their family is invited to attend. The Compassionate Friends is a nonprofit self-help bereavement support organization for families that have experienced the death of a child. The organization is non-sectarian and welcomes bereaved parents, siblings, grandparents and immediate family members to it meetings.
