The second annual “Scare on the Square” in downtown Mount Vernon is set for the last two weekends in October, according to organizer Steven Boorman.
Volunteers are needed to help with preparation for the event. The setup schedule is from noon until workers quit on Saturday and Sunday each week, including October 22. For details on how to volunteer, see the October 13 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
