Members of the Mount Vernon Economic Development Corporation welcomed Lucky 7 Pit Stop as the first recipient of the Existing Business Structure Assistance Program. The matching grant program is designed to assist in improving the existing business buildings in Mount Vernon. The city will match up to $15,000 for improvements to local business buildings for approved applicants. Darrell Beard and Robert Rosales, seen with their wives at each end of the sign, are the owners of the new restaurant. They plan to be open later this month.
