Dark clouds and occasional drizzle did not scare off the crowed that gathered for the 72nd annual Christmas Parade in Mount Vernon
on Saturday, Dec. 3. Lake Chapel Church won the Grand Prize from the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce. Their float depicted a nativity scene with angels and three wise men following behind bearing gifts. See the December 8 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more details about the parade.
