A message of hope, love and caring is shared by the Hispanic cultural celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the patroness of the Americas and protector of the unborn. This year marks the 480th anniversary of the event commemorated by the celebration, which is traditionally on Dec. 12. The  local celebration begins Sunday, Dec. 11 and continues past midnight.
