Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The Eighth Annual Tour de Cypress Ride and Run in Mount Vernon will feature new bike routes through reclaimed land areas of the Luminant Monticello South Mine and the addition of both 5k and 10k runs. The 47 and 62.5 mile (100k) routes will also give riders a glimpse of camels, zebras and antelope living at the exotic animal farm operated by veterinarian Cathy Cranmore in the south part of the county.
