The annual series of allocation hearings for the Franklin County United Way is scheduled for Wednesday, June 24 in the First National Bank Board Room. The current schedule is as follows:
Morning Session, 9 a.m., Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas; 9:15 a.m. Franklin County Youth Baseball Association; 9:30 a.m., Holy Highway; 10 a.m., Lake Country Court Appointed Special Advocates, CASA; 10:30 a.m., Mount Vernon Rotary Scholarship Trust Fund; 11:15 a.m., NeTseO Boy Scouts Foundation; 11:30 a.m., American Red Cross; Afternoon session, 1 p.m., SAFE-T; 1:30 p.m., Titus County Cares; 2 p.m., Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center; 2:30 p.m., Northeast Texas Opportunities, Inc.; 3 p.m., The Community Food Bank of Franklin County; 3:30 p.m., Cypress Basin Hospice; 4 p.m., Salvation Army; and 4:30 p.m., Friends of the Franklin County Library. The Ministerial Alliance will also be scheduled for a hearing, but the time was not available at press time. Members of the allocations committee are Mark Hymer, Nancy Craig, Rick Flanagan, Shane Sumrow, Joel Jackson, Jay Phillips, and Will Ramsay. The committee will make their recommendations for allocations to the United Way Board of Directors at the organizations’ regular board meeting at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 25 in the First National Bank Century Room.
