Citizens are urged to spread the news of the quarterly Newcomers and Friends Coffee and Town Tour to their friends and neighbors. “This is their chance to get acquainted with the community, its people, and what we have to offer in a relaxed atmosphere,” notes Pat Oertel, coordinator for the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce. The next quarterly Newcomers event is scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Bankhead Highway Visitors Center (Thruston House).
