Print

Search and rescueJoe Shadbolt and John Case, members of the Purley Volunteer Fire Department and Kathy Cannon, member of the North Franklin Volunteer Fire Department, recently returned from the Texas Fire Training School at Brayton Fire Training Field in College Station. They were trained on firefighting phase two, which included  ladder techniques, fire science, live burns, search and rescue techniques, and rapid intervention teams. The team, along with a firefighter from Payne Springs, worked together to practice search and rescue. There were 2,100 firefighters from about 600 jurisdictions participating in the trainings this year.
