A handgun believed used in the fatal shooting of a Mount Vernon man last Saturday in Mount Pleasant was recovered late Monday. Divers with the Northeast Texas Dive Team recovered the handgun which is believed to have fired causing the death of Jose Castro, age 21, of Mount Vernon.
