A public hearing to receive input on the 2009-2010 budget and tax rate for Mount Vernon ISD is scheduled tonight, Thursday, Aug. 27, at 6 p.m. in the board room of the school’s Administration Building.
The board proposed a tax rate of $.99024 during their regular monthly meeting on Monday, Aug. 10. The rate is the same as the previous two years. A budget of $12,331,711 was also proposed during the meeting.See the Aug. 27 edition of the Optic-Herald for more information.
