David B. Nance, age 23, graduated from Officer Candidate School for the U. S. Army in Fort Benninng, Ga., on July 16. He was appointed to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant upon graduation from OCS. He will be stationed at Fort Sill in Lawton, Okla., for artillery training. He graduated from Southern Arkansas University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in business. He is a 2004 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. He is the son of Jesse and Debbie Nance of Mount Vernon.
