The Franklin County Water District is proposing to lower its tax rate to $0.0318. That is $0.0062 less than last year’s rate of $0.038. The City of Mount Vernon is proposing to adopt a tax rate of $0.700776. The proposed rate is up $0.04667 from the 2008 tax rate which was $0.666040.
