An electric rate increase to Texas customers of about 20 percent was requested ty AEP Southwestern Electric Power Company. If approved, the request would result in an average increase of $16 per month, or about 21.5 percent, for a residential customer in East Texas using 1,000 kilowatt-hours per month.
