Chief Deputy Richard L. “Dick” Alexander resigned late Tuesday night. This came after Sheriff Paul Fletcher placed him on administrative leave on Monday, Oct. 5. According to Sheriff Fletcher, the action was taken while he completed an investigation of the department’s response to a call Tuesday of last week.
