Water gushes out of the morning glory, the fixed spillway structure for Lake Cypress Springs. The lake is rising because of heavy rain on an already saturated watershed.
There is the possibility of more rain this week. The lake level is currently 2 1/2 feet above normal pool. The rainfall record for October was broken as of Monday, Oct. 26. The maximum rainfall total for the year was also broken. See the Oct. 29 edition of the Optic-Herald for more details.
