Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Four record lows were recorded in Franklin County during January 2010. The temperature of 18° on Jan. 5 was colder than the 21° recorded on the same day in 1986. A second low temperature of 20° on Jan. 6 was less than the 25° recorded  on the same day in 2004.
