The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado with winds of approximately 65 mph occurred in Franklin Co. along CR SE4315 near the Good Hope Cemetery about 11:37 a.m. Dec. 27.
The path was approximately 50 yds. wide and 1.4 mi. long. The tornado was on the ground for about two minutes, and peeled a metal roof from this shop building belonging to Jimmy Favors.Mount Vernon Optic-Herald
