Head librarian Lisa Lawrence accepted the $10,000 check from Mayor J. D. Baumgardner and City Manager Lee Elliott. The City of Mount Vernon  released budgeted funds to support the Franklin County Library and increased the funding to total $10,000. See the Feb. 25 edition of the Optic-Herald for more details.
