The deadline for submitting requests and documentation for funding for 2011 from the United Way of Franklin County is 2 p.m. Monday, June 7. The United Way of Franklin County mailed their 2010 Allocation Request forms the first week of May.
Organizations that did not receive an application packet by mail can get an application from the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce office. Completed forms should be returned to that office. No forms will be accepted after the deadline. A copy of the group’s 501-C(3) letter as proof of their tax exempt status is required in the packet. A copy of the group’s last tax return and a current balance sheet are to be included, along with a list of the current board of directors for the group.
Upon submission of the requested information, agencies applying for aid will be scheduled for a presentation session with the Allocation Committee. Allocation hearings will be between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 23 in the board room of the First National Bank of Mount Vernon.
