Cecil Herrin, second from left, and his crew worked on Monday, Jan. 19 to pour the pedestal base for a monument in front of the Franklin County Law Enforcement Center.
The statue will honor local law enforcement officers who have fallen in the line of duty. Funds for the project were allocated from the county’s drug seizure fund under the direction of former sheriff Charles J. “Chuck” White. The Franklin County Arts Alliance is working as a partner in the project and will provide the statue for the base.
