The installation of restrooms and/or revamping of the current restroom facility at Little Creek Park was squarely at the top of the priorities list for the city’s Parks and Recreation Committee.
Three other options for improvements and future development were left in the hands of the Mount Vernon City Council.
The report was presented by Bob McFarland, committee chairman. At least four other members of the committee were present for the presentation prior to the start of the regular June city council meeting. See the June 24 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for the full story on their recommendation to the city council.
