
Members of the Mount Vernon High School Art Club and art classes chose to be a part of the annual Pinwheels for Peace Project for 2008. Pinwheels for Peace is a way for students to express their feelings about what is going on in the world and in their lives.
Each year around the world, students and adults build pinwheels and “plant” them along the front drives of schools as a public statement and art exhibit on the International Day of Peace, which is Sept. 21 each year. See the full story in this week’s
