The Franklin County Jail failed to comply with 15 minimum standards during a Sept. 16 inspection by the Texas Commission on Jail Standards according to a report received by Sheriff Paul Fletcher last week. “We are already working on the list and most have already been corrected,” Sheriff Paul Fletcher advised members of the commissioners court. Sheriff Fletcher advised members of the court that several of the items are for a “paper trail” of documentation, according to the “notice of non-compliance.” See the Sept. 30 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for a listing non-compliant items.
