The Franklin County Water District adopted a tax rate of $.0279 per $100 of taxable value at its monthly meeting last week, Tuesday, Sept. 21. Taxes on an $80,000 home, which were $25.44 last year, should be $22.32 at this year’s rate. See the Sept. 30 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more information.
