Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, 1,056 General Election ballots had been voted either in person or by mail. The number is approaching the record set in 2008 when 1,407 early ballots were cast. In person early voting for the General Election continues through 5 p.m.  Friday, Oct. 29. Election day voting in the elections is Tuesday, Nov. 2.
