Commissioners of Franklin County were asked to consider a shared or part time county auditor’s position. Sixty-second Judicial District Judge Scott McDowell spoke with the court members at their meeting Monday, Nov. 8. Judge McDowell reviewed the process of implementing a county auditor’s position for the county. He made it clear that although the local commissioners court had asked that the position be operational by Jan. 1, 2011, that may not be the time frame the district judges have for the process.
