Sam Mears, at left, of Samson Utilities points to the newer section of the grain tower that will be removed first. Portions of the structure have been in place for close to 50 years. Franklin County Lawn and Feed, who owns the grain tower, has hired Mr. Mears to dismantle the structure. The pieces will be sold for scrap.
